A group of fourteen McKendree students traveled to New Orleans over Spring Break on a mission. A mission to help those still struggling to put their homes back together after being hit by Hurricane Katrina.
While there the group worked together to restore the inside of two houses. We were busy with many different jobs such as cleaning up parts of the houses, mudding, painting, and laying floors.
After days of hardwork, we took a tour of New Orleans and saw many areas hit by Hurricane Katrina. While on the trip we got enjoy local cuisine.
